Capturing the moment. That's why I love photography.
Henri Cartier-Bresson describes it as the decisive moment
"Photography is not like painting ...There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative. Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever." Henri Cartier-Bresson
I started with film over 25 years ago, then life happened, and I only picked up the bug again with the birth of my son in 2007. It was a desire to capture every wonderful moment seeing him grow. The last few years have been busy as I have learnt so much about the techincal side of photography and then developed my own style. I am part of the Leadership at Hythe Community Church in Egham, and it was through my work here that I started a Camera Club for the local community. I wanted to share what I had learnt. This pushes me weekly to learn and then share with the group. The Camera Club Facebook page is here
I've had the privilege to capture Weddings, Parties, Family Portraits
and so much of God's creaton around us.
